Memorial for rapper Takeoff to feature performances by Alicia Keys, Justin Bieber and Nick Jonas, among others; an exhibit featuring photos, mementos and other items associated with the artist; and, of course, a performance by Justin.
In addition, the museum will hold a special screening of the Tupac Shakur documentary, My Long Halftime Walk, which took place on July 19, 2008, the day after the death of The Notorious B.I.G.
“We’ve been talking to Justin since he was a baby about whether or not he’d like to have an exhibit at the museum,” said Kevin Kester, director of operations for the museum, in a press release. “Now he’s here to support us and do a special concert to celebrate his life and work. We could not be more excited for Takeoff’s fans to see this iconic rapper in person.”
