Hemsworth's response to Pataky's pregnancy

Chris Hemsworth says he’s taking a break from acting to spend time with family after facing his own mortality in the “Thor: Ragnarok” sequel.

Hemsworth, 28, took to social media to share a photo of him and his fiancee Elsa Pataky. She is holding two cats, but the star captioned the picture with a message, joking, “I just came back from a really good talk with my dad. Let’s keep this PG-rated! I’m gonna leave you all with a fun new emoji.”

“But you guys already knew that, because you all saw the picture with the rainbow,” he wrote in response to a fan’s comment.

“I am so very sorry to all those that I have angered, hurt, disappointed, and disappointed myself in the past 10 months,” he added.

The actor then concluded, “I’m so very grateful. So very grateful. And I now have a very important question for all of you. I hope I’m not asking too much.”

A video also surfaced of Hemsworth giving his reaction to Pataky’s pregnancy announcement.

“My only regret is that I’m not able to give you all what you deserve,” he said.

He added, “So sorry I missed so many chances at telling you what I had to see out of you and see in you, and how you were with me no matter what. You will always be my number one.”

Hemsworth’s acting debut came in 2008, when he was cast as a role of Thor in “Thor,” the Thor of the Norse myths. He later appeared in “Guardians of the Galaxy,” “Thor 4,” “Crawl,” “Snow White and the Huntsman,” “Thor: The Dark World” and “Doctor Strange.”

In addition to leading roles, the actor has starred in multiple shows for Amazon, Hulu, Syfy and now Netflix.
