Greta Gerwig says she was ‘terrified’ that making the ‘Barbie’ live-action movie ‘could be a career-ender’ – and it almost was.
The actress is now playing the part in the ‘Barbie and the Diamonds’ film, although she’s not exactly sure she’ll be able to play her.

The 23-year-old Oscar nominee said she found out three years ago her latest role in the movie ‘could be a career-ender’
‘I didn’t know if I could do it,’ she said in a new interview with the New York Times. ‘I wasn’t even sure if I could be in it. But I found out I was going to be a doll, and I just really loved the movie. It was a complete joy. So I started thinking about what I could do to make it work.’
And she did. She even found out three years ago her latest role in the movie ‘could be a career-ender.’
Not the greatest start to her film career, Gerwig also said she and her actor and ‘Barbie’ co-star Samuel Hynes were on a first date when the movie came up.
